Sri. Ganapati Bhat, is an officer of 1989 batch of Indian Revenue Service holding Master’s Degree and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Delhi and also holding Ph.D Degree in Economics. Sri. Ganapati Bhat, IRS has taken over the charge of Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Karnataka & Goa Region, Bengaluru on 01st February, 2025 and is also holding the charge of Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (International Taxation), New Delhi upon promotion. Before being posted as Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (International Taxation), New Delhi, the officer was posted as Director General of Income Tax (Investigation), Karnataka & Goa on 06th March 2023 handling sensitive search and seizure operations and assessment charges. The officer worked in various capacities in the fields of Assessment, Investigation, Appeals, Transfer Pricing & International Taxation, Central charge etc. He worked across the country in Goa, Belgaum, Delhi, Mumbai, Kochi and Bengaluru. He worked as Private Secretary to Minister of Tourism and Culture, Govt. of India, New Delhi on Deputation. He has worked in the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth Affairs and Sports. He was also on deputation to Research and Information Systems for Developing countries (RIS) as Director. He has authored a book “Tax Policy and Transfer Pricing” and several research articles. He also worked as Addl. Secretary in Lok Sabha Secretariat at New Delhi.

Shri E S Nagendra Prasad, is an IRS officer from 1990 batch. Born in 1965, Shri E S Nagendra Prasad hails from erstwhile Andhra Pradesh. The officer did B.Sc from Andhra University, post graduate diploma in technology, followed by LLB from Bangalore University. Before entering the government service, he worked in private sector. On completion of training posted to Karnataka and Goa charge. Thereafter the officer worked in various capacities in the charge of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Mumbai, Karnataka and Goa and Tamil Nadu and Pondichery. He has also undergone training in Public Policy from Syracuse Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs. Joined as Chief Commissioner of Income Tax(International Taxation) South zone on 30.08.2023 upon promotion.

DIRECTOR GENERAL OF INCOME TAX(INVESTIGATION), KARNATAKA & GOA

Dr. Narender Kumar, IRS, has taken over the charge of Director General of Income Tax(Investigation), Karnataka & Goa on 14th August, 2024 handling sensitive search and seizure operations and assessment charges all over Karnataka & Goa. He is an officer of 1990 batch of Indian Revenue Service holding Master's Veterinary Science (MV Sc). Dr. Narender Kumar worked in various capacities in the fields of Assessments, Verification Unit, Investigation, Administrative Charge, International Taxation and ITAT etc. He worked across the country in Mumbai, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab and Gujarat.

MS. PRISCILLA SINGSIT, IRS,
CHIEF COMMISSIONER OF INCOME-TAX-2, BENGALURU

Ms. Priscilla Singsit, is an IRS Officer from 1990 Batch. Born in 1967, She Completed her graduation in English Literature from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University in the year 1988. She has worked in various capacities at Delhi, Guwahati, Chandigarh and Karnataka & Goa Region. The Officer has worked in Central, DG(Admn), DG(systems), Appeals, ITAT, Faceless and Jurisdictional Assessing Officers Charge in a career spanning over 34 years. She attended Advanced Mid Career Training Program in IIM, Bangalore & International Bureau for Fiscal Documentation, Amsterdam in 2015. She is currently posted as Chief Commissioner of Income-tax-2, Bengaluru since 13.08.2025

SHRI. SANJEEV SINGH, IRS,
CHIEF COMMISSIONER OF INCOME-TAX(TDS), BENGALURU

Sri Sanjeev Singh is an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer from the 1991 batch, currently serving as the Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (TDS) in Bengaluru. He oversees TDS compliance for Karnataka and Goa and provides strategic inputs to the CBDT on TDS policy and implementation. He holds a B.Tech in Electronics Engineering from IIT BHU and an MBA from IIM Calcutta. From 1994 to 2005, he worked in assessment, Central, TDS, and Investigation wings in Ahmedabad and Chennai. From 2005 to 2012, he played a key role in establishing the Financial Intelligence Unit – India (FIU-IND) and led the implementation of Project FINnet, an advanced IT system for financial data collection, analysis, and exchange. He also developed the FIU Information System Maturity Model (FISMM), which is now an international standard adopted by the Egmont Group of FIUs and UNODC. From 2012 to 2021, he worked in the Systems Directorate, designing and implementing Insight, an integrated data analytics and risk management platform for the CBDT. He played a leadership role in designing and implementing the Annual Information Statement (AIS), Data Exchange, Data Warehouse, risk-based selection system, e-campaign system, non-filer monitoring system, automated allocation system, collaborative verification system, and the new tax collection system (TIN 2.0) He is a trained assessor in Financial Action Task Force (FATF) standards and Tax Administration Diagnostic Assessment Tool (TADAT). He is also a guest faculty at IIM Ahmedabad and Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie. In 2024, he was awarded the CBDT Certificate for Meritorious Service in recognition of his contributions.

SHRI. SHISHIR DHAMIJA, IRS,
CHIEF COMMISSIONER OF INCOME-TAX-1, BENGALURU

Shri Shishir Dhamija, is an IRS, Officer from 1991 batch. He is native of Delhi. He graduated in Pharmacy (Hons.) from BITS Pilani, Rajasthan and then pursued Masters in Biotechnology from JNU Delhi. He was pursuing research in Bio-Chemical Engineering at IIT Delhi, while he got selected by UPSC and joined the Indian Revenue Service at NADT Nagpur in 1991. Since then, he has served in various important roles and senior positions in cities across India including Delhi, Pune, Ranchi, Mumbai and Jamshedpur making major contributions to the Revenue Service in diverse fields of Assessments, Investigations, Tax Systems, Appeals, Dispute Resolution for cross border taxation etc. While in service he has pursued Advanced Diploma in Enterprise Management from AIMA, Delhi and has also attended mid-career training programs at MDI Gurgaon, IIM Ahmedabad and Duke University, North Corolina USA. As evident he has vast knowledge and experience in Tax Administration and is a very competent and devoted public servant. The officer has joined on promotion as Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Panaji on 17.10.2024

Shri Gopalan Gurusamy, IRS, took over the Charge of Director General of Income Tax(Systems), Bengaluru on 9th September 2024. The Officer is handling system operation at CPC, Bengaluru. He is an Officer of 1991 batch of Indian Revenue Service holding a Master's degree and Bachelor of Law from the University of Madras and is also holding a PhD. Shri Gopalan Gurusamy, has worked in various capacities in the fields of assessment, Investigation, Appeals, Transfer Pricing, International Taxation, Central Charges, Training etc.
