Shri Shelley Jindal is an IRS officer from 1988 Batch. He is a native of Bijnor, UP. He has done B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from Govind Ballabh (GB) Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, Pantnagar, Rudrapur. He pursued Masters, M.Tech in Power Systems from IIT, Delhi and LL.B from Meerut University.

He worked in different capacities in the Income Tax Department in UP(West), Ahmedabad, Gujarat, Mumbai and Indore. Before being posted as Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Karnataka & Goa Region, Bengaluru, he was posted as Chief Commissioner of Income Tax-11, Mumbai. Apart from Chief Commissioner of Income Tax-11, Mumbai, he was also given additional charge as Member-3, Interim Board Settlement - V & VI, Mumbai.

Joined as Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Karnataka & Goa Region, Bengaluru in January, 2024 upon promotion.

SMT. PREETI GARG, CCIT(TDS), BANGALORE

Smt. Preeti Garg, is an IRS Officer from 1989 Batch. Born in 1966, Smt. Preeti Garg hails from Chandigarh. The Officer is a post graduate and M Phil in Chemistry from Kurukshetra University followed by an LLB degree from Bangalore University.

The Officer worked in various capacities in the charge of North Western Region, Karnataka & Goa Region and Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Region. She has also undergone training in Mid-career Training at IIM(Bangalore and Maxwell School of Public Policy, Syracuse, USA.

The Officer is posted as Chief Commissioner of Income Tax(TDS), Bangalore since 22.09.2022.

SHRI. GANAPATI BHAT, DGIT (Inv), KARNATAKA & GOA REGION, BENGALURU

Shri. Ganapati Bhat, IRS, has taken over the charge of Director General of Income Tax(Investigation), Karnataka & Goa on 06th March 2023 handling sensitive search and seizure operations and assessment charges. He is an officer of 1989 batch of Indian Revenue Service holding Master’s degree and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Delhi and also holding Ph. D Degree.

Shri. Ganapati Bhat worked in various capacities in the fields of Assessment, Investigation, Appeals, Transfer Pricing & International Taxation, Central charge etc. He worked across the country in Delhi, Kochi, Bengaluru and Mumbai.

He worked as Private Secretary to Minister of Tourism and Culture, Govt. of India, New Delhi on Deputation. He also worked as Addl. Secretary in Lok Sabha Secretariat at New Delhi.

SMT. G APARNA RAO, CCIT-1, BENGALURU

Smt. G Aparna Rao I.R.S, is working as Chief Commissioner of Income-tax-1, Bengaluru with addl. charge of CCIT-2, Bengaluru and belongs to 1989 batch of Indian Revenue Service (IRS).

Born in 1966, Smt. Aparna Rao has done her Masters in Political Science from Central University, Hyderabad and has done LLB and LLM from Osmania University, Hyderabad.

Smt. Aparna Rao worked in various capacities like Corporate circle, Hq.Admin, Investigation Wing, Judicial, appeals and as PCIT, worked in both JAO & FAO charges in different places like Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Vishakhapatnam, Chennai etc.

On promotion as Chief Commissioner of Income-tax, Smt. Aparna Rao is posted as Chief Commissioner of Income-tax-1 & 2, Bengaluru.

She is very actively involved in Women's Association of I.T.Department at Hyderabad, Chennai & Bengaluru and conducted various activities for the welfare of women employees.

A music enthusiast, she performed at Aayakar Sanskritik Utsav, (Cultural Fest) held at Nagpur in November 2022 & 2023 and at various other platforms. Performed twice at the prestigious "Nadaneerajanam Program" at Tirumala Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh.

SHRI. E S NAGENDRA PRASAD, CCIT(IT)SZ, BENGALURU

Shri E S Nagendra Prasad, is an IRS officer from 1990 batch. Born in 1965, Shri E S Nagendra Prasad hails from erstwhile Andhra Pradesh. The officer did B.Sc from Andhra University, post graduate diploma in technology, followed by LLB from Bangalore University. Before entering the government service, he worked in private sector.

On completion of training posted to Karnataka and Goa charge. Thereafter the officer worked in various capacities in the charge of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Mumbai, Karnataka and Goa and Tamil Nadu and Pondichery. He has also undergone training in Public Policy from Syracuse Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs.

Joined as Chief Commissioner of Income Tax(International Taxation) South zone on 30.08.2023 upon promotion.
